Phoebe’s burgeoning love of design led her to spend hours in the architecture section of her elementary school library. She was also drawn to the problem-solving elements of math and science and their potential to positively impact the lives of others. In college, Phoebe discovered an area where she could combine design and technology: theatrical set building and lighting design.
In addition to her majors in Math and Physics, Phoebe focused on taking classes in Disability Studies. Studying the spectrum of human needs prompted her interest in sensory design and neuroarchitecture. Ever since, she has been passionate about elevating sensory experiences within the built environment.
Phoebe’s career has included lighting and architectural design across residential, hospitality, retail, industrial, and educational spaces. In her work as a lighting designer, she has leveraged her technical background by engineering precise lighting plans, programming control systems, and investigating luminaire innovations from across the industry. Consistent through all projects is her love of architecture and her drive to improve human health, productivity, and quality of life.
