Immersed in art and design from an early age, Sarah always knew she wanted to pursue a creative career. She discovered her passion for architectural lighting design at California State University, Long Beach, while obtaining her Bachelor of Arts in Design with an emphasis in Interior Design. She was especially drawn to how significantly light can influence a design, its environment, its ambience, and its occupants. The field also gave her a certain fulfillment by combining her creative and technical skills.

After graduating, she joined a southern California based architectural lighting design studio and a Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) firm. She spent five and a half years developing her technical expertise and specialized in creating schematic design packages, along with conceptual, illustrative,
and photorealistic renderings. She’s worked on a wide variety of projects ranging from: site, senior and multifamily residential housing developments, corporate facilities, interior and exterior tenant improvements, hospitality, exterior building facade, retail, institutional, healthcare, and sustainable facilities.

In 2018, she joined the Hartranft Lighting team and continues to expand the variety of her project portfolio. In her spare time, Sarah enjoys reading, tea, classic movies, video games, and baking.
